Liv Anstis
Liv’s background prior to commencing in the arts was construction and community sector services work.
Liv studied Live Production Design, Technical Services and Management under scholarship at Enmore Design Centre giving him experience ranging from set design, film making, props, costume, puppetry, SFX make up, illustration, digital design, and a whole lot more. Liv graduated in 2018 with honours and was nominated for NSW TAFE Creative Industry Awards in 2019 by industry leading teachers at TAFE.
Whilst studying Liv worked as a production manager and lighting assistant at Enmore Theatre for TAFE NSW; and since then has worked leading VIVID light and sound installation, building Mardi Gras floats, working with independent short filmmakers specifically in lighting, was an assistant on Making It for Channel 10 and a trans community and creative advisor for short TV series. In addition he worked at Carriageworks as a multidisciplinary senior technician (2018-2022) installing the Nick Cave exhibition, Sydney Contemporary, Sydney Festival, Sydney Writers Festival, Australia Fashion Week, The Voice, The Masked Singer and was a founding member of the inclusivity LGBTQI and Accessibility team.
Liv has been working casually with PACT since 2019 as duty technician alongside working with the Performance Space team on the Liveworks Festival, set building custom-made LED systems for The Weekend (Sydney Festival 2019) and production managing The Visitors (Sydney Festival 2020) and Koori Gras for Moogahlin Performing Arts, and collaborating with the team producing the First Nations hub at the Seymour Centre.
Liv is known for excellent carpentry skills, building custom-made road cases for companies such as Moogahlin Performing Arts and Force Majeure, and for building meaningful and lasting relationships with creative teams.
