The Right Foot - Emerging Makers series fosters the development of new and emerging dance makers with disabilities.
“You can't be what you can’t see”.
An intensive workshop process focuses on developing 12 new and emerging dance makers with and without disabilities. Building on the creative findings and development of 2022, the workshop explores choreographic processes such as experimentation, movement scores, and devised-theatre methods to foster storytelling and generate new choreography. Led by and made for artists with disabilities, the workshop provides an excellent opportunity for learning and development.
Lead Artist Sarah-Vyne Vassallo will deconstruct her own making process, with the aim of fostering, mentoring and guiding new and emerging dance voices in their own practice and artistic pursuits.
Emerging Makers is designed to provide high-quality choreographic and artistic skills development to the next generation of dance makers with disabilities.
Artist will also engage with eminent disabled artist Dan Daw via virtual mentoring session.
