HYPERLOCAL: BLOCK PARTY

  • PACT Centre for Emerging Artists 107 Railway Parade Erskineville, NSW, 2043 Australia (map)
The background of this image is a collage of cartoon faces. Over the top of the drawings, text written in permanent marker reads 'Block Party'

PACT is turning 60 in (street) style.

Hyperlocal: Block Party is a free celebration of community and street artistry.

DJ Arisse and DJ Black President will be rocking the spot across the afternoon.  Riddim Nation will bring the classic Hip Hop dance styles to the floor and you best believe that the solo performances from Lucky Lartey and Demon Derriere will be the definition of fresh!

Something super special for the kids (7-12 years) is our Kids Hip Hop Workshop led by dance legend King Nai of Riddim Nation.

And, there is a free BBQ running throughout the afternoon.

RSVP
if you are coming along for the good vibes (so we know how many snags to put on the BBQ).

Kids Hip Hop Workshop is full – waitlist now open.
All 20 spots have been filled! If you would like to be added to the waitlist please email info@pact.net.au with parent/guardian/carer contact info.

Make it stand out

Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

    Are we really turning 60?!

    Yep, we really are.

We have been supporting emerging artists since 1964.
We are resilient – like the artists we welcome into our iconic Erskineville warehouse.

For the last 6 decades we have built upon the generosity of our audiences, artists and donors.

PACT is a launching pad for artists and a testing ground for courageous ideas. By donating to PACT you are pledging your support of emerging artists and the vital opportunities and pathways we impart here at PACT.

We are raising funds for the future of our arts, artists and the PACT community.

  • This event will be Auslan Interpreted.

PACT is an accessible venue, with level access throughout the public areas of the building and non-gendered, ambulant and wheelchair accessible toilets.

There is accessible (non-dedicated) street parking on Railway Parade. The nearest accessible train stations are Erskineville (5 minutes) and Newtown (15 minutes).

We encourage you to contact us with any access questions and to discuss your requirements with us.
